Generous bundled freebies

Free daily backups, free SSL, a free Cloudflare CDN and free website migration come included on all plans rather than as paid add-ons.

Global data-center choice

You can choose a data-center location at signup, which can help latency for a geographically targeted audience.

Verdict at a glance

FastComet is a cPanel-based host aimed at beginners and small businesses who want a lot included in an inexpensive plan: NVMe storage, free SSL, a free CDN, free migration, daily backups and a choice of data-centre locations around the world. On Trustpilot it scores 4.7/5 from 3,967 reviews (as of October 2026), with 91% of reviews at five stars, and the praise is overwhelmingly about support.

The caveats are real, though. The headline price is a first-term promotion and the regular price is roughly five times higher on the entry plan. FastComet was acquired by World Host Group (reported as late 2024 or 2025, depending on the source), and some reviewers say infrastructure and support changed afterward. And one of the details in our earlier notes needed correcting: FastComet's current pricing page advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee, not 45 days.

We did not run our own speed or uptime tests, so everything on performance below comes from FastComet's own pages and third-party reviewers. Prices are promotional unless labelled regular, and you should verify them at checkout.

Who it's for

FastComet suits you if:

  • You are a beginner or small-business owner who wants cPanel, a one-click app installer and plenty bundled in, without paying for each extra.
  • You want to choose a data centre near your visitors, particularly in Asia-Pacific, India or South America, where many budget hosts have no presence.
  • You value support responsiveness and want a host whose reviews are mostly about people being helped quickly.
  • You want daily backups and a malware scanner included from the cheapest tier.

You should look elsewhere if:

  • You expect the low intro price to stay low. Budget for the regular price, or consider a host with flatter renewals.
  • You run a busy WooCommerce store or a plugin-heavy WordPress site. One reviewer's benchmark scored FastComet's hardware below its field average, and the shared tiers are modest on RAM and CPU.
  • You want a proprietary dashboard or built-in website builder. FastComet is standard cPanel.
  • You need the cheapest possible VPS. FastComet's managed Cloud VPS starts well above entry-level unmanaged VPS plans.

Pricing and plans

FastComet's own shared pricing page lists four plans. The intro price is promotional and for the first term only; the regular price applies after that. Review sites that checked earlier quoted slightly different figures (for example $1.79 to $4.99 intro and $8.95 to $24.95 renewal), which shows how often these numbers move. The table below reflects the official page we opened.

Shared hosting (annual terms)

  • Starter: $1.99/month intro, $9.95/month regular. 1 website, 10 GB NVMe, 1 CPU core, 1 GB RAM.
  • Essential: $2.99/month intro, $12.95/month regular. 1 website, 20 GB NVMe, 2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM.
  • Plus: $3.99/month intro, $17.95/month regular. Unlimited websites, 30 GB NVMe, 3 CPU cores, 3 GB RAM.
  • Extra: $5.49/month intro, $24.95/month regular. Unlimited websites, 40 GB NVMe, 4 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM.

Included on all four: free SSL (Let's Encrypt), free website setup and transfer, free domain transfer, cPanel with Softaculous (300+ apps), multiple PHP versions (5.6 to 8.4 listed), and unlimited FTP accounts, subdomains and email aliases. Backups are kept for 7 days on Starter, Essential and Plus and 30 days on Extra.

One review also reports bundled email with unlimited accounts and 10 GB per mailbox. We did not see this on the pricing page we opened, so confirm before relying on it.

Intro rates generally require a longer prepaid term (reviewers say multi-year for the lowest figures). A longer term defers the step-up but does not remove it.

Cloud VPS (fully managed, cPanel/WHM)

Official page figures, with the first price being the starting rate and the second the renewal where listed:

  • Cloud 2: $53.87/month, renewing at $76.95. 2 cores, 4 GB ECC RAM, 80 GB SSD, 4 TB bandwidth.
  • Cloud 3: $69.27/month, renewing at $98.95. 4 cores, 8 GB RAM, 160 GB SSD, 5 TB bandwidth.
  • Cloud 4: $107.77/month, renewing at $153.95. 6 cores, 16 GB RAM, 320 GB SSD, 8 TB bandwidth.
  • Cloud 5 to 8: from $241.95 up to $719.95/month, scaling up to 24 cores, 128 GB RAM and 2.5 TB of storage.

All are described as fully managed with cPanel/WHM, 24/7 support and security monitoring included. Earlier reviews quoted VPS entry at about $46.16, so the starting price has clearly moved.

Dedicated CPU servers

  • DS 1: $107.07/month. 2x AMD EPYC 7501, 4 GB ECC RAM, 80 GB SSD, 4 TB bandwidth.
  • DS 2: $130.17/month. 8 GB RAM, 160 GB SSD, 5 TB bandwidth.
  • DS 3: $176.37/month. 16 GB RAM, 320 GB SSD, 6 TB bandwidth.
  • DS 4: $268.77/month. 32 GB RAM, 640 GB SSD, 7 TB bandwidth.

Higher tiers (DS 5 to 8) start at about $648.95/month. The page says renewal is higher than the introductory rate.

Money-back guarantee

FastComet's pricing page currently says 30 days money back. Several third-party reviews and our earlier notes said 45 days, so it looks like the term has changed or that older pages are still circulating. One independent review also says 30 days. Plan on 30 and confirm with support before you sign up.

Free extras and billing gotchas

  • Free: SSL, site setup and transfer, domain transfer, daily backups, CDN and malware protection.
  • Not clearly free: domain registration. FastComet's pages mention free domain transfer, not a free new domain. Check the cart.
  • Renewal shock: the Starter plan goes from $1.99 to $9.95, about five times higher. One review notes FastComet once marketed a no-price-rise promise that no longer applies.
  • Existing-customer pricing: a Trustpilot reviewer in May 2026 complained that an existing VPS customer was charged more than new customers. Compare your renewal quote with the new-customer price.

Key features

  • cPanel on every plan, with Softaculous for one-click installs of WordPress and other apps.
  • NVMe SSD storage on shared plans.
  • Five-layer caching per the pricing page: LiteSpeed Cache, Memcached and Cloudflare CDN among them.
  • CloudLinux with CageFS isolation between accounts.
  • Imunify360 malware protection and web application firewall.
  • Free daily backups with 7 days of retention (30 on Extra).
  • Free migration and setup.
  • Managed WordPress, WooCommerce, reseller and Node.js VPS options.
  • 24/7 support with phone and chat, according to FastComet's pricing page.

Performance and infrastructure

  • Data centres: FastComet advertises 12 locations. A third-party review lists Dallas, Newark, Toronto, Frankfurt, London, Milan, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai, Sydney and São Paulo, and a further reviewer describes coverage across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. FastComet's homepage also refers to 14 countries and 200+ CDN points of presence, so counts differ by what is being counted. You choose a location at signup.
  • Storage and hardware: NVMe SSD, with AMD EPYC CPUs advertised on the homepage.
  • CDN: a free Cloudflare CDN is part of the stack.
  • Caching and PHP: LiteSpeed-based caching and multiple PHP versions via cPanel, per the pricing page.
  • Uptime: FastComet states a 99.9% service guarantee on its homepage. One reviewer reported 99.98% in Q4 2025 and another reported 100% during a short test. These are their measurements, not ours.
  • Speed: one independent review reported a US time to first byte of about 525 ms (a field median of 465 ms) and scored the hardware at 4.8/10 against a 6.4 average. It judged FastComet fine for small sites and a weaker pick for heavy WordPress stacks. We did not verify these numbers.

A caution: a third-party review reports that after the World Host Group acquisition the entry shared plan moved to different infrastructure, shared with Hosting.com. We could not verify that from FastComet's own pages, so treat it as a reported claim.

Support

FastComet advertises 24/7 human support with chat and phone, and its homepage claims 83% of issues are resolved in under 15 minutes. Those are FastComet's own figures. Reviewers describe chat as quick, and one review reports weekend ticket resolution in under 20 minutes.

The Trustpilot reviews we read (below) are strongly positive about support, but they also contain recent complaints of slow responses and a layered system that includes AI assistance, which is worth knowing if you hate bots. Support is the thing FastComet is best known for, so check recent reviews rather than relying on its earlier reputation.

Security

  • Imunify360 with malware scanning and a web application firewall, per FastComet's pages.
  • CloudLinux CageFS to separate accounts on shared servers.
  • DDoS protection is listed among the included services on the homepage.
  • Free SSL (Let's Encrypt) on all plans.
  • Daily backups with 7-day retention (30 on Extra). Keep your own off-site copy too.
  • Two-factor authentication is reported by a review, so confirm the setup in your account.

Ease of use and migration

FastComet uses standard cPanel, which is the most widely known panel, so tutorials and other developers' habits carry over. One reviewer found the surrounding customer dashboard dated compared with Hostinger and Bluehost, and noted there is no proprietary panel or website builder.

Migration is free on all plans according to FastComet's pricing page, and Trustpilot reviewers mention quick fixes and helpful migration support. Softaculous makes starting from scratch easy. Because the entry plan allows one website and a 10 GB cap, check whether you will outgrow it before you move a larger site.

Hosting types offered

  • Shared hosting (Starter, Essential, Plus, Extra)
  • Managed WordPress
  • WooCommerce hosting
  • Cloud VPS (fully managed, cPanel/WHM)
  • Dedicated CPU servers
  • Reseller hosting
  • Managed community and Node.js VPS options listed on the site

The best value is in the shared and managed WordPress tiers. VPS and dedicated plans are priced as managed products rather than budget unmanaged ones.

Who owns FastComet

FastComet was acquired by World Host Group, which also owns other hosting brands including Hosting.com (formerly A2 Hosting, per what we have seen in other sources). Sources disagree about the timing: one says late 2024, others say early or April 2025. The same group is also reported to own Rocket.net. The brand, pricing structure and feature set were reported to stay in place after the sale, but one review says the old infrastructure was replaced and a new support team was brought in.

We did not find a founding year or headquarters in the pages we could open, so we are not stating them. FastComet's own About page returned an error when we tried it. If you care about who is behind the company, check the About and Terms pages directly.

For you as a customer, an acquisition is neither good nor bad on its face. It is a reason to watch recent reviews, since cost-cutting after acquisitions is common in this industry.

Pros

  • Excellent Trustpilot sentiment (4.7/5 from 3,967 reviews, as of October 2026), with 91% five-star reviews.
  • Support is the standout in reviews, with fast, patient, knowledgeable agents praised repeatedly.
  • Lots included: free SSL, daily backups, Cloudflare CDN, Imunify360 and free migration.
  • cPanel and Softaculous on every plan, so there is nothing new to learn.
  • A choice of 12 data centres worldwide, including Asia-Pacific, India and South America.
  • Cheap entry price for the first term.
  • Managed VPS and dedicated options if you outgrow shared.

Cons

  • Regular prices are about five times the intro price on the entry plan.
  • Refund is 30 days per the current page, shorter than the 45 days we and others used to cite.
  • Ownership change and reported infrastructure and support changes since.
  • Recent complaints about slow support and AI-assisted tiers.
  • Modest hardware on shared plans, and a benchmark that scored it below average for heavy WordPress.
  • VPS entry price is high compared with unmanaged VPS hosts.
  • Free domain is not clear: only transfers are listed as free.

How FastComet compares

The scores below are from our earlier Trustpilot checks of the other hosts in our set (August 2026), so they may have moved.

  • Versus TMDHosting (4.8/5, 60-day guarantee): both are support-focused small hosts. TMDHosting's longer 60-day refund window now looks like a bigger advantage because FastComet's current page says 30 days. FastComet's advantage is its wide choice of data centres.
  • Versus Hostinger (4.7/5 from 71,365 reviews): the scores are similar. Hostinger is usually cheaper at the entry level and uses its own panel, while FastComet gives you cPanel.
  • Versus Scala Hosting (4.9/5): Scala scores higher on Trustpilot. FastComet's edge is simply its range of locations and cPanel everywhere.
  • Versus mainstream giants clustered around 4.0/5: FastComet's smaller, happier review base is the differentiator, though you should weigh the renewal jump and ownership change.

What real users say

We read FastComet's Trustpilot page on 1 October 2026: 4.7/5 from 3,967 reviews, 91% five-star, 762 reviews in the last 12 months, and replies to negative reviews. We also looked at Reddit threads in r/Hosting and r/HostingReport, which are summarised below.

Recurring praise (Trustpilot). Reviewers repeatedly say support is fast, patient and knowledgeable, and that problems such as email faults were fixed quickly.

"Outstading customer service. Uncomparable to any other company I have experienced so far." (a Trustpilot reviewer, 20 August 2026; spelling as posted)

"Very quick fix to a problem I had with email. Excellent service" (a Trustpilot reviewer, 30 September 2026)

Recurring complaints (Trustpilot). The one-star reviews we read mention slower support, a layered support process with AI assistance, server instability, and pricing that differs between new and existing customers.

"really bad and and slow support. they have AI assist support and 3 levels of support and you will need days or maybe a week" (a Trustpilot reviewer, 22 September 2026; spelling as posted)

"FastComet has always been expensive... charging me $150 per month for VPS hosting when new customers are charged $99" (a Trustpilot reviewer, 28 May 2026)

Recurring themes (Reddit). Reddit is split. Long-time customers in r/Hosting describe excellent support in the past and a decline after the World Host Group acquisition, with long waits and copy-and-paste replies. A more positive r/HostingReport review calls shared servers fast with quick, responsive support and cPanel. These are individual posters' experiences, not a measured sample.

"11 years... Their support was excellent. After World Host Group acquired..." (r/Hosting, "Fastcomet issues"; the poster reports a decline)

"servers pretty fast for shared, no slowness or downtime. Support very quick and responsive." (r/HostingReport, "My FastComet Review")

Balanced read. The great majority of recent reviews are positive, and the complaints are a small minority, but they line up with the post-acquisition concerns in the reviews we read elsewhere. Sentiment is strongly positive with a few specific warning signs.

Frequently asked questions

Does FastComet have a 45-day money-back guarantee?

Older material says 45 days, but the pricing page we opened on 1 October 2026 says 30 days, and one independent review also says 30. Plan on 30 days and confirm with support.

Why is the renewal price so much higher?

Intro prices are promotions for the first term only. The Starter plan goes from $1.99 to $9.95 per month on the official page. A longer prepaid term defers the increase but does not remove it.

Does FastComet use cPanel?

Yes, on shared, VPS and dedicated plans, with Softaculous for one-click app installs.

Where are FastComet's data centres?

FastComet advertises 12 locations. A third-party review lists Dallas, Newark, Toronto, Frankfurt, London, Milan, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai, Sydney and São Paulo. You pick one at signup.

Is FastComet owned by World Host Group?

Yes, according to several reviews, though they differ on whether the sale happened in late 2024 or 2025. Reviewers report the brand and pricing structure stayed, with infrastructure and support changes behind the scenes.

Is migration free?

Yes, according to FastComet's pricing page, free site setup and transfer is included on all shared plans.

Final verdict

FastComet is a good-value, support-led host for beginners and small businesses who want cPanel, plenty of bundled security and backups, and the choice of a data centre close to their audience. Its 4.7/5 Trustpilot score from 3,967 reviews (as of October 2026) is excellent and rests on a large base.

The honest caveats are the five-fold step from intro to regular price, a refund window that is now 30 days rather than the 45 we used to cite, and the ownership change, which has prompted some reports of slower support and infrastructure changes. If those do not bother you and you plan for the regular price, it is an easy host to shortlist. For heavy WooCommerce or plugin-heavy sites, test it with the refund window before moving a business-critical site.
